Calliope is a beautiful 4 year old Welsh mare who will make an outstanding WPCSA show prospect. She has a very friendly and gentle disposition, loves attention, and is a knockout mover with excellent conformation and breed type. Calliope will make a superb competitive driving, show pleasure, and halter prospect. She has a powerful and balanced way of going with a huge stride. She is well started in harness and ready to begin her under saddle training. Her Bay Roan sire RosMel's Notorious, is best known for producing National Champion hunter, driving, show, and sport ponies with exceptional dispositions. Her dam is one of our best mares, TOF Ebony Jewel (now retired), and is a proven producer of top hunter and Welsh show ponies. Ebony carries the well known Gayfield's Vida Blue / Findeln Blue Danube line and is sired by an imported champion. Calliope has numerous champion siblings who have been very successful in the pony hunter, Welsh, driving, sport, and dressage rings. Her sister showed quite well at the American Welsh National Show in 2015 and we expect a bright future from Calliope. She is also a very nice broodmare prospect and should have the potential to throw lots of fancy color when bred to non grey stallions. Both parents and a full sister live here at our farm. Calliope will make an excellent show and breeding prospect and her sweet, easy going personality will win your heart.
